Femi Olayebi is the CEO and Chief Creative Director of My World of Bags, a Handbag Design and Manufacturing company based in Ibadan, Nigeria. Under My World of Bags, she runs FEMIHANDBAGS, an \’affordable luxury\’ line of bespoke, beautifully handcrafted leather handbags.
2008 – Femi was one of the first 25 recipients to be awarded the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Scholarship.
May 2009 – she was also the only Nigerian to be selected for the FORTUNE/U.S State Department International Women Leaders Mentoring Program in conjunction with Vital Voices Global Partnership.
Feb 2010 – Femi participated at the Pure London Accessories Show in London where she showcased her brand, FEMIHANDBAGS, internationally for the first time.

July 2013 – she was selected to participate in AWEP (African Women Entrepreneurship Programme) in the United States which took her to Chicago, New York, Washington DC and New Mexico on a networking mission.
August 2013 – Femi was one of four company CEOs selected by the Bank of Industry to attend the Brazil-Nigeria Business Forum in Rio de Janeiro.
2014 – Femi received the WEConnect International Certified Women\’s Business Enterprise award.
June 2017 – Pioneered The Lagos Leather Fair, a solely private initiative and the first of its kind to hold in the country. It was designed to promote Nigerian leather designers, bring together the major players along the leather value chain, and attempt to change the narrative within the Nigeria leather industry. The second edition was successfully held in May 2018.
July 2017 – invited to sit on the Advisory Board of the Global Entrepreneurship Network Nigeria launched by the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment.
February 2018 – FH showed it\’s latest collection at the London Fashion Week.
July 2018 – FemiHandbags opens flagship store at a boutique mall in Ikoyi, Lagos.
August 2018 – Femi and FH featured on CNN. Her bags are currently stocked in Lagos, Paris and New York.
