Hello everyone and a happy new year to you. This is the first blogpost here this year and I thought it would be nice for it to be an information post.
If you, like me love to learn and are an ardent reader, then this post will be of interest to you.
The other day I was going through my phone and I realised I have almost 100 e-books. However, I hadn\’t been able to read as much because staring into my phone screen for an extended period at one time with or without my glasses isn\’t so much my thing so when I discovered this wonderful app which I actually had on my phone for quite a while could turn text to speech, I was elated!
The app is called Pocket book. It\’s free to download on playstore and it can read a wide range of text formats including PDF, mobi, epub and more. You can also control the speed and pitch of the narration (the voice of Google assistant).
I now enjoy my books by simply opening them with pocketbook, long pressing on the page I\’m on, and choosing the audio icon. Next I plugin my ear piece and the rest, as they say, is history.
So if you try using pocketbook, please let me know if you like it (you must have a text to speech app like Google tts for it to work as an audio book reader)
Have a productive week.
