Femmepreneur Spotlight Yetunde Adegboye of YBOM ventures

Our second entrepreneurial feature this year on She Learns Here is Yetunde Adegboye, the Founder of Ybom ventures, the parent company of Kidpolis by Ybom, a computer science graduate who also holds a masters degree in Managerial Psychology.

Before now, Yetunde had worked in several industries including Oil and Gas, Maritime, Banking and Aviation industries. However, she always had a feeling of dissatisfaction. This led her to return to her love of fashion, choosing to become a Fashion designer, a trade she learnt after SSCE and perfected after NYSC.

In her own words, \”Kidpolis by Ybom is a manufacturer of children\’s cloth and accessories. We make contemporary styles with a touch of African fabric. Our clothes are decent, durable, fitting, functional and affordable. We cater to boys and girls from newborn to 10years.
We bridge the gap between parents and tailors and we guarantee our customers peace of mind.

When asked why she became an entrepreneur, she had this to say.

\”My quest for self fulfilment and desire to go above and beyond in exploring the world around me led me to entrepreneurship\”.

Apart from Fashion designing, Ybom ventures is also a supplier of FARMFRESH dairy yogurt in Ibadan and it\’s environs this business has grown from supplying 2 crates of yoghurt to over 1 tonne per week and still growing.

Asked about her business challenges, she said \”Our challenges so far are power supply/electricity which is very epileptic and we rely on generator 90% of the day. Human resource is also another headache. The get rich quick syndrome is in the air and youths lack the patience to learn and grow on the job.\”

We at She Learns Here wish YBOM ventures well as they continue their journey in 2019 and look forward to working with them in the area of Digital marketing to increase visibility and patronage.
